Thich Nhat Hanh

Thich Nhat Hanh , also known as “Thay”  (“teacher” in Vietnamese) , was born in central Vietnam in 1926 under the name of Nguyen Xuan Bao. At the age of 16 he entered the Zen monastery of Tu-Hieu, near Hue, where his main teacher was Chan Thanh Quy Tiet.
